Julia's First Day of Third Grade

Julia entered the third grade and seems to be adjusting pretty well. She has a very nice, but structured teacher named Ms. Boone. The elementary school, a public school much like Main Street, is very structured and focused on education and helping children learn social boundaries (a little more like a private Catholic school, I think). They are not allowed to run in the hallways or talk loud, they can only swing on the swings facing the school, they go to the cafeteria as a class at a specific time for lunch, they are picked up at the curbside or by you personally only, etc... A little structure never hurts anybody. Should be an enlightening experience for the girls.

Julia,

Ms. Boone sounds like she is very nice and the type of teacher that you really can enjoy learning from. I also like this picture of you very much. I viewed a picture and some information about your school and it looks really neat. Wow what a place to live and go to school. When we come to visit, you will have to tell me all about what you have learned this year and what it is like to live in Hawaii.

Bubba is doing great and catching those frisbe's and tennis balls.
Casey and Roxy, Curly, Moe and Larry are doing fine too.

We heard you might be coming to visit us back here at grandpa's and gradma's home here in Soquel sometime later this year. That would be fantastic.

We love you loads and loads,
grandpa and grandma
